Shell’s upstream operation at the Corrib gas field in Ireland achieved first gas flow marking a great achievement for the gas company and country. The gas field is situated about 51 miles of the northwest coast of Ireland in about 1,150 feet of water and approximately 9,850 feet below the seabed. The gas field is predicted around 260 MMscf/d of gas. That is the equivalent of 45,000 barrels of oil a day.
